I am delighted to announce a new partnership that came into effect in December with MyAdhan (www.myadhan.com). MyAdhan are the leading provider of SMS based services to the Muslim community. We’ve teamed up with MyAdhan to provide you with the ‘Send to Mobile’ feature. This is a useful little gadget that allows you to download any of the business details on Tijara Pages to your mobile phone. You receive business details as a text message, which is sent using MyAdhan’s SMS system. You pay nothing for any of the texts that you receive from us and you can download as many business details as you like. Try it now and come back and tell us what you think of the service.
To receive free business details by text follow the following steps:
- Register your mobile phone to use the service by texting the word ‘TIJARA’ to 60060. This text will cost you your normal network charge. You will receive a text back confirming that you are registered and can use the service.
- Find a business on Tijara Pages to download.
- Click the ‘Send to Mobile’ link.
- Enter your mobile number in the space provided, tick the box and click the button.
- You will automatically receive a text that contains the business details.
Please note that this is not a premium subscription service. You will not be charged for any texts you receive from us. And you will only recieve texts from us when you download business details from Tijara Pages.

Will I have to pay for the text messages I receive from Tijara Pages? No. This is a totally free service. It costs you absolutely nothing to receive any business details by text.
Do I have to register to use this service? Yes you do have to register. All you neeed to do is send us a text message. Text the word ‘TIJARA’ to 60060, you will then receive a text confirming you can use the service. This text will cost your normal network charge and you will only need to register once.
Is this a subscription service? No. You will only receive texts when you download business details from Tijara Pages.
Will I be bombarded with junk texts? Absolutely not! We will not send you any extra texts. And we will not share your mobile number with anyone else.
The Recommended Trader Scheme helps you find reliable businesses to do trade with. Business listings in Tijara Pages that display the Recommended Trader badge have received a minimum of three positive reviews from customers and have managed to keep a 90% positive rate thereafter.
You can join in the reviewing process also. If you have received an excellent level of service from a local business then tell others about it by giving them a positive review on Tijara Pages.

- Find the business’s listing in Tijara Pages and go to their profile page by clicking on the ‘More Information’ link.
- Scroll to the bottom of their profile page and enter your review rating and comments in the boxes provided.
- All reviews are checked by hand before being published. Once published your review rating will contribute to their overall scrore.

Tijara Pages Mobile is a cut down version of Tijara Pages designed specifically to be used from a mobile phone. As mobile phones are obviously not as powerful as PCs or laptops, we’ve stripped out all of the pretty pictures, bells and whistles you see on the main site. But don’t worry, all of the data from the main site is still available from the mobile version.
Why did we do a mobile site you ask? Well simply put, a lot of you kept telling us about how Tijara Pages should be a book so that you can carry it around with you. We looked into this and felt that with all the technology that is available today doing a book version would be a backwards step for us (yes we love technology – we are a bunch of geeks afterall ). So we turned to the humble mobile phone. The result is a win win. We get to tinker with new technology and you get a version of Tijara Pages that you can carry around with you.
Actually there’s nothing humble about the modern mobile phone at all. Nowadays you can pick up some pretty sophisticated kit in the guise of a mobile phone. But that’s a rant for another day!
