Introducing: Tijara Pages Mobile

Imagine this, you’re out and about and it’s time for salah.  OMG where’s the nearest mosque?  No problem!  Go to Tijara Pages Mobile (www.tijarapages.mobi) from your mobile phone, type in the word mosque and your location and voila!  Up pops a list of mosques for where you are.

Another scenario; you’re out and about and you get a bad case of the tummy rumbles.  You need to find the closest halal eatery.  Simple!  Go to Tijara Pages Mobile from your mobile phone, type restaurants and up comes a list of the finest local culinary establishments.

Tijara Pages Mobile is a cut down version of Tijara Pages designed specifically to be used from a mobile phone.  As mobile phones are obviously not as powerful as PCs or laptops, we’ve stripped out all of the pretty pictures, bells and whistles you see on the main site.  But don’t worry, all of the data from the main site is still available from the mobile version.

Why did we do a mobile site you ask?  Well simply put, a lot of you kept telling us about how Tijara Pages should be a book so that you can carry it around with you.  We looked into this and felt that with all the technology that is available today doing a book version would be a backwards step for us (yes we love technology – we are a bunch of geeks afterall ).  So we turned to the humble mobile phone.  The result is a win win.  We get to tinker with new technology and you get a version of Tijara Pages that you can carry around with you.

Actually there’s nothing humble about the modern mobile phone at all.  Nowadays you can pick up some pretty sophisticated kit in the guise of a mobile phone.  But that’s a rant for another day!
